Out of Print and Unavailable Discography (as Cannonball Statman)

Cannonball Statman was the name of my childhood dog, and that’s who I got my artist name from – I tell the full story of how I became Cannonball Statman in the page for Eight Folk Songs (2012), and I also tell a bit of why I began to struggle with using my birth name as an artist name in the page for 8PM in New York City (2011) – but basically, almost everything I’ve released since 2012 has been under the name Cannonball Statman.

an early cassette demo of “Tom Turkey” recorded in 2013, with Leora Mandel on vocals

The really hard-to-find Cannonball Statman albums tend to be the ones that were made for the purpose of documenting what I was doing in a very specific time and place, as a kind of limited edition gift for the people who were around me at the time – some of these were live albums recorded at our early NYC gigs as a noisy punk outfit, some were rare acoustic albums that were never released online and have songs on them that I have no memory of how to play and I don’t even have lyric sheets for.
